I have visited Baja dozens of times, but not so much recently. The last time was January of this year, where I had the good fortune to meet a wonderful guide and scholar, known to me as La Guía, who will be leading your expedition, and the previous time, seven years ago, when I had the amazing luck and providence to meet the leading scholar of the area, Fermin, and the El Jefe of one of the grandest!

To pay for our efforts, and to support the local living economies of the Sierra de la Laguna, we encourage you to sign up as a Friend of Sierra Laguna. The lifetime fee is ten dollars. It entitles you to one initial set of questions about your trip, or whatever topic you choose. Obviously, the degree of interaction is our call, and you may or may not feel we’ve provided the definitive answers you may be seeking. But we will do our damnedest, and in any event your contribution will help support the overall bioregion.
